What can I say about a perfect place...the food is awesome, the bartenders are delightful (mark & mark), the bar is friendly, the staff is friendly, never had a bad meal----ever. Mahoneys is a local place that mixes great food, great cocktails and wines into this great place for conversation, meeting others (no it's not a pickup joint) and just overall win-win for the patron and the staff. Teddy (OK Ted) Mahoney is laid back, great chef and overall good sport, his wife Shannon is a doll and Anne the matriarch is a delight to talk to. This well run family establishment has the best of both worlds, a bistro, a bar and a restaurant where good food can be had by all, with no reservations required, get there early to get a good seat at the bar or come a little later after the crowd has died down.
Best Foods to order: The greek salad with grilled salmon is a meal in itself, along with my favorite appetizers of shrimp skewers, tuna sashimi (I personally don't order this but everyone who likes sushi does and loves it!) and soft shell crab. Main events include a grilled lobster (to die for), filet mignon, baby back ribs (they are wonderful) and countless specials. They have a great menu to choose from for vegans, landlubbers and omnivores alike-try it you will come back often....
